To develop a conscious civilization, we need conscious leaders. Consciousness can be divided in to stages and each stage is more complex.  Each stage of consciousness development transcends the previous stages, but includes its essentials, is like going from atoms to molecules, from molecules to cells, and from cells to organisms. In the words of Robert Kegan, a Harvard developmental psychologist:

“What gradually happens is not just a linear accretion of more and more that one can look at or think about, but a qualitative shift in the very shape of the window or lens through which one looks at the world.”

We also aim to practice Servant Leadership- a term originally coined by Robert Greenleaf.

Servant leadership is a philosophy and a set of practices that enriches the lives of individuals, builds better organizations and ultimately creates a more just and caring world.

Our practice is also very honoured and grateful to be a (global) partner of the Charter for Compassion. 

We believe a compassionate world is a peaceful world. We believe a compassionate world is possible when every man, woman and child treats others as they would wish to be treated – with dignity, equity and respect. We believe all human beings are born with the capacity for compassion, and it must be cultivated for human beings to survive and thrive.


Forward Leadership

When working on the future and programs, we see the learnings of the futurist John Naisbitt (in Mind Set) as helpful:

  • While many things change, most things remain constant
  • The future is embedded in the present
  • Focus on the score of the game
  • Understanding how powerful it is not to have to be right
  • See the future as a big puzzle
  • Don’t get so far ahead of the parade that people don’t know you’re in it
  • Resistance to change falls if benefits are real
  • Things that we expect to happen always happen more slowly
  • You don’t get results by solving problems but by exploiting opportunities
  • Don’t add unless you subtract
  • Don’t forget the power and ecology of technology
